PROFILE OF THE ARTIST

​Luis Fernando Mejía Jaramillo. Architect from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia UNAL, in Medellín, he exercised this profession without abandoning drawing, which since his childhood, and all along his life, he practiced assiduously deploying his exceptional talent. He co-founded the “El Taller de Grabado” in Medellín to which he remained associated from 1983 until 1999 when he retired to establish his own workshop. For over 30 years and even before graduating as an architect, he taught at several institutions of technical and upper education.
Endowed with an exceptional talent and a solid formation, he assumed a vertical attitude in the local artistic scene, defending drawing and engraving as artistic expressions of first order.
